The Food and Nutrition syllabus of the Cambridge IGCSE introduces both the theoretical and practical aspects of food purchase and preparation. Learners research the nutritional value of simple foods and build the skills needed to create a healthy family meal while coping with diet and health in daily life. In order to produce innovative and enjoyable dishes, customer awareness is encouraged, as are high standards of personal and kitchen hygiene, particularly when learners put their knowledge into practise.
