IGCSE
Only centres involved in the NCEE Excellence for All initiative in the USA have access to this syllabus. The First Language English (US) Cambridge IGCSE is intended for learners whose first language is English. In both speech and writing, Cambridge IGCSE First Language English (US) learners acquire the ability to communicate clearly, accurately and effectively. We learn how to use a wide-ranging vocabulary, use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation, and build a personal style and an understanding of the target audience. Learners are often encouraged to read extensively, both for their own amusement and to promote their comprehension of the ways in which they can use English.
