The syllabus for Additional Mathematics builds on the skills and knowledge built in the syllabus for Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (US) (0444). Good applicants for Cambridge IGCSE Additional Mathematics obtain lifelong abilities, including: • The further progress of concepts and principles in mathematics • Expansion and use of mathematical knowledge in more specialized techniques • An ability to address challenges, objectively present problems and interpret outcomes • A strong basis for further research. We propose that candidates starting this course should have learned Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (US) (0444) beforehand.
