The Cambridge IGCSE Development Studies syllabus focuses on topics of specific interest to less economically developed countries, and looks at shifts in culture that foster or hamper human development. By emphasising the interaction between economic, geographical, social and political processes, learners become more aware of the local , regional and national issues affecting development. As a result , learners will become more aware of their own local background and will be able to actively engage in forming their own community.
