It will also be useful for higher-level learners though the scholarly style may make it less accessible to students who are less proficient in English. There is no more up-to-date history of Nepal available in English though Louise Brown’s The Challenge to Democracy in Nepal: A Political History (Routledge, 1996) is useful with regard to the people’s movement.
